It’s time to ditch Skype and TeamSpeak. Discord is here.

You’ll never go back.
Downloading the Discord app!
Downloading Discord is easy, you can just go to their download page and select your platform (your current platform will be selected by default). With this you can choose either the stable release or the Public Test Build.
We recommend that you use the stable release as this is less likely to have any issues.
Registering your Account
In the image to the right you can see the screen you’re met with when launching Discord app
To register your account below the login button you will need to select “Register” this will give you a new view where you can select your email, username and password. Fill the fields out and then you can log in.
Linking your Twitch and Discord Account
To easily join a Discord server you can use an invite link and you can also link your Twitch account. Linking your Twitch account allows you to view Discord servers which are linked to your Subscriptions, for example: If you are Subscribed to Orb you can easily join within one click.
To do this:
- Go into your User Settings (The gear icon at the bottom left of the application window) – This can be done in both Browser and Desktop Applications.
- Navigate to the ‘Connections’ Tab and connect your Twitch Account by click on twitch and it will prompt you to log into your Twitch Account (This uses API connection to verify your information, no private data is shared)
